A: The course was designed to be completed over 12 weeks to cover one fundamental per week and give you time to digest the teachings, complete the tasks and uncover the wisdom within them. Q: How did the name Listen Hear come about?
A: Neil was talking with his beloved wife and asking her “why do so many find it difficult to listen or hear each other these days?”. It was from this question that Listen Hear was born. Neil has memories from childhood (and adulthood) of folks in various scenarios shouting “Listen here!”, “No, you listen here!”. He liked the play on words that Listen Hear offers and the subtle hint towards how you can really make yourself heard.
Q: I’ve heard Neil talk about “Listen Hearing” what does he mean by that?
A: “Listen Hear” has become a verb for Neil, like smile, run or jump. When he’s communicating well it feels to him like he’s “listen hearing”.

5. How could I more listen hear this to make it clearer?
Q: What does Neil mean when he says he played board games on Mt Everest?
A: Full disclosure he mostly played card games! But the ‘board games and board room’ line was too good not to use. Neil spent several weeks high altitude trekking the Everest Region of the Himalayas, including visits to Everest Base Camp and summiting some of the peaks that surround it. True story, he had to use all of his Listen Hearing powers when checking-in for his flight with his expedition partners at Heathrow Airport. He was told his travel visas to pass through India were not valid and his party would not be able to fly. It was a great opportunity to demonstrate how listening can truly empower your voice, and the voices of those around you, to help solve even complex and urgent problems. Navigating that situation showed how good communication, at its heart, fuels connection not disconnection. Needless to say, after some deep Listen Hearing, him and his travel companions were able to board the flight and enjoy a life changing trip breathing some of the highest mountain air on the planet.
